Skills institutes are one-credit courses offered in an online format or as part of the required in-person immersion at MAIR online. Skills institute offerings are subject to change each term.

At some point in your career, you may be dropped into an organization that is in great need of strategic planning. This course gives you some basic tools so that you will be able to help it find its way. You will be equipped to detect mission drift, map your ecosystem, construct a theory of change, diagnose sustainability, and more. These key skills are applicable to government entities and NGOs, to large and small organizations. This fast paced course will be taught via case studies and simulations based on actual recent strategic planning projects.
