The online Master of Science in International Relations and Business program is designed through a partnership between American University’s School of International Service (SIS) and the Kogod School of Business. Through this collaboration, students learn to combine advanced business skills with international affairs knowledge to influence international economic policy and advance their careers within the international market.

The online MS in International Relations and Business program is 36 credit hours and can be completed in as few as 18 months.
In addition to weekly live online classes and asynchronous coursework, the master’s in international relations and business curriculum includes an in-person global immersion and a culminating capstone project. During the immersion, students explore the local culture of a global business hub, network with international industry leaders, and strengthen their relationships with classmates and faculty.
Students will learn from a skills-focused interdisciplinary curriculum that covers advanced business concepts in the context of global politics, economics, and cross-cultural relationships. The program prepares students for careers in international business by incorporating key skills from both disciplines.
